Founded in 1924, to provide performance opportunities for singers in their initial stages of their professional careers, this small opera theater company performs in English. This theater company produces a recital series from Bellini to Gershwin, improv to spirituals performed by some of Los Angeles' finest vocal talents. On the campus of Pasadena City College in Harbeson Hall, each recital is followed by a reception where you can meet the musicians. Recent productions have included Hayden's 'Infidelity Foiled' in 1993, Mozart's 'Zaide' in 1994 and Mozart's 'Impresario' and Pergolesi's 'La Serva Padrona' in 1995.
